Aisha is a Cuban-Guyanese American heritage Spanish speaker from Boston, MA. She moved to D.C. in 2012 and has experience working with language learners from elementary to university-level and is currently a full-time lecturer at Howard University. She received her undergraduate degree from Yale University in Spanish and earned her Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Emory University in Spanish Literature. As a teacher, her goal is to understand first her students’ learning style and then make every effort to translate the material in a manner that makes information accessible and is conducive to taking ownership of their learning experience.

Her hobbies include working on projects, writing, and eating her way around D.C.
