Ami

A seasoned teacher who has taught for over a decade primarily in international schools, Ami continues to believe that the teaching and learning of languages should be a fascinating and pleasurable journey. As an expert in using cutting-edge techniques and rigorous planning, Ami actively applies methods such as inquiry-based instruction and audio-video clips that enhance students’ reading, speaking, and listening skills.

Ami holds a Bachelors in Accounting and has earned a Masters in Education with honors in India. Her dissertation was on “Difficulties faced by college students while learning to write in French”. She has also completed an Advanced Diploma (Delf C1) in the French language from The Alliance Francaise and has learned three levels of Spanish.

Currently, Ami spends her time tutoring and coaching students individually or in a group, helping them achieve their academic goals. She has an established track record of helping to improve her students’ grades. Ami also partners with the well-respected teaching academies Big Learning FLES and Capitol Language Services to participate in French language programs.

Ami’s love for languages extends beyond her professional life. She can read and write in six languages and is actively learning her seventh, Mandarin. She volunteers her time teaching Hindi and French at Global Language Network, a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit organization. In addition to teaching, Ami is passionate about traveling, learning about new cultures, and listening to music.
