Daniel

Daniel moved to Washington, D.C. from Los Angeles, California. He studied economics and psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz and proceeded to work in the education sector. Passionate about being in the nation’s capital and at the forefront of education, the move was a natural fit. With encouragement from friends and family, Daniel started teaching full-time through the D.C. Teaching Fellows program in 2014. Since then, he has taught mathematics in various charter schools and public schools in the District for six years.

Daniel also completed his studies at Johns Hopkins University to finish his Master’s in Education with an emphasis on Educational Technology. Grateful for the amazing network of educators in the D.C. Metropolitan Area, Daniel continues to learn and incorporate best practices using blended learning to ensure increased student outcomes for all of his students.

In his free time, Daniel loves to go hiking and take road trips to cities along the east coast.
