Before Emily left for her MSc, she worked as an education mediation specialist in Montgomery County Public Schools. She provided mediations and conflict resolution support to students, families, and school staff across Montgomery County as an Americorps volunteer working for the Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County.
Emily is passionate about languages and language learning, and has studied and lived in Paraguay, Mexico, and Spain. She delights in meeting students where they are, and uses her tutoring and mediation experience to provide a positive, supportive experience for each student.
When Emily is not tutoring or working, she enjoys watching over-acted costume dramas, reading fiction, and talking about movies and art. She loves to travel, laugh at bad jokes, and be around her family.
