Jahlani

Jahlani obtained his PhD and Masters in Industrial and Systems Engineering in June 2020. His research area was nanomanufacturing. He has published many peer reviewed articles in this field.

He also obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Honors from the University of the District of Columbia in 2015. During his undergraduate career, he actively tutored students in: college algebra, statistics, calculus, and applied geometry. A true mathematician at heart, Jahlani has been providing educational assistance in the field of mathematics for the past nine years. After his freshman year, he tutored secondary school students, both in small groups and one-on-one, in Spanish and Statistics.

In his work with students, Jahlani uses an adaptive approach, paying close attention to the student’s learning style and how they retain information. His style may change periodically throughout the session as he modifies his techniques to meet students where they are.

He currently works as a Principal Quality Engineer for Northrop Grumman Corporation. In his spare time, he enjoys 3D printing, small woodworking, and chess.
