Jen

Jennifer has a dual master’s degree in journalism and law from Northwestern University and Northwestern University School of Law. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish from Ohio State University.

For more than a decade, Jennifer has helped empower, educate, and instill confidence in area elementary, middle, and high school students as a tutor, mentor, reading, and writing coach. She believes in an individual-student-based, whole-learning approach, with an emphasis on comprehension, strengthening and building upon foundational basics and fostering a lifelong love of learning. She seeks to cultivate confidence, creativity, and curiosity through expertise, enthusiasm, and a solid structure that engenders mutual trust and respect.

She has taught undergraduate journalism and storytelling as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University and a lecturer at Northwestern. She is an experienced editor whose work has appeared in the New York Times, Foreign Policy, Salon, and the Huffington Post, among other national and international publications.
