Jill
Jill is a high school English teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools and is completing her master's degree in education from the University of Virginia. Her area of study is Curriculum and Instruction, with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Jill earned her bachelor of arts degree from Purdue University in 2016, majoring in English literature and history, with honors. She also holds a certificate in secondary instruction from Taylor University. Jill is licensed as a secondary school teacher in the Commonwealth of Virginia (2019-2029), with an endorsement in English, for students in grades 6-12. She has also completed graduate courses in journalism at Columbia University.
As a teacher and tutor, Jill's first priority is enabling the personal and academic success of her students. Making lasting connections with students is paramount to her approach to instruction.
In her free time, Jill enjoys choral singing, playing classical piano and flute, reading, needlecrafts, and biking.
