Vanessa

Vanessa earned a degree in Spanish from Marywood University with a minor in English. While pursuing her degree, she studied abroad in Valencia, Spain, where her passion for the Spanish language and travel were ignited. After graduating, Vanessa worked in the private sector for two years, using Spanish in a business setting. She then completed a teaching program in Bilingual and Multicultural Education at King’s College in 2010. For the past several years, she has taught high school Spanish and K-12 English as a Second Language. She is certified to teach K-12 in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Maryland.

Vanessa is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Spanish with a concentration in Pedagogy from Middlebury College. To that end, she spends most of her summers studying in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Vanessa loves working with students, helping them to unlock their potential and excel in and enjoy learning Spanish. Having used Spanish extensively in a business setting, she knows first-hand how valuable it is to be able to communicate in another language. She enjoys designing fun, creative lessons for her students in order to actively engage them in the learning process.

Apart from Spanish and teaching, Vanessa loves to travel, read, spend time with her family and friends, and practice yoga.
